De Plantation Pineapple is voor het eerst voorgesteld tijdens « Tales of Cocktail » te New Orleans in 2014. Alexandre Gabriel heeft deze rum ontwikkeld in samenwerking met de spirit en cocktail historicus David Wondrich.
